Bonding

This past weekend our team spent some quality time together. It was great! We went to an extended time of studying the word at an event that Mom helped put together. The next day we made a trip to the Mennonite food store and met a nice man who spent eight months in Thailand and had some good information to teach us! For instance, when entering another person's home you should enter slightly bowed down so as to be lower than your host. Wouldn't it be just like the American girls to come barging in, standing tall, to  make our presence known. Ha!
After going to Walmart (and picking up a bargain of a dance workout video!), we went out to Lynne's house to ride some horses! The mud came high up on our shins as we tried to situate the horses before and after the ride. As Willie Nelson played on Pandora and the sun finished its daily round, we  began to head back to Lynne's house. We hopped in her dad's truck to drive over.. Remember the mud? So did we when the truck got stuck. Rachel, Kyli and I got out to push the truck as Lynne steered. We tried our best.. We tried so hard that I ripped my pants. Awesome. But to no avail. "My Truck Is Stuck. Rotten luck. Can't go! My truck is stuck. Tug and tow. Two engines roar. But the truck won't go. Not one inch more. Does anyone know how to make my stuck truck go?" (That one is for you, Mom.)
Sunday morning we had the sunrise service and the best breakfast in town. Good stuff, Maynard. It's amazing to me and oh so powerful to think about how He is ALIVE! And active. And because of His power, He died to take our punishment and came back to life to defeat the death that thought it had won the victory. To think, death, by pursuing its goal to annihilate Him, actually set up for its once and for all final demise and defeat. <-- Joke's on you, death. Sucka!
I am grateful for His life. And for His life that has come and given my loved ones and me life and purpose to go and talk about the Life. Look at Him go.. Thank You.
